A 10 dollar transaction.
A 100,000 dollar transaction.
Those have different meanings to some people. What if each number before 10 and after 100,00 had a different meaning. Lose the dollar sign. Just look at the numerals 1 to x. 1 to 100 for example. In each numeral you will find a meaning that is deeper than it's numerical value. In some cases, a person that is exceptional in math or equations might describe that they view a number or groups of numbers as one or many colors. The numeral 2 could remind someone of a two dollar bill and a memory comes to mind, etc.
So, personally we may have a filter on the way that we see certain numbers. Imagine a parallel world, where the unlucky 13 in this world has a completely different meaning, maybe it holds a formula for the letter B.
